Management of Solid Low Level Waste
Consultation on Strategy for the Management of Solid Low Level Radioactive Waste from the Non-Nuclear Industry in the United Kingdom
Consultation started on 7th December and closes on 8th March 2011.
This draft strategy fulfils the first part of Government’s commitment to produce a UK-wide strategy for the management of solid low level radioactive waste. It is primarily aimed at non-nuclear industry radioactive waste managers; the environmental regulators and waste planning bodies. It will also be relevant to operators of all waste disposal facilities.
